Our Work
We are overwhelmed by the support our Team has received. In just a span of a month, we were able to raise enough funds to accomplish our first goal of providing pocket wifi devices to 155 students. Through your trust, faith and generosity, it allowed us to help households with students to have access to internet for education. It is inspiring to be an instrument of hope to students who strive to continue their education despite the evident effects of the pandemic in their lives. At a time when we are faced with a threat to human health, our faith in humanity keeps us going.
From all of us at Project WiFi: Maraming, maraming salamat po!
THEIR STORY
Christian is an aspiring accountant even though his parents can’t handle the cost of having internet connectivity in their home for online classes. His parents do not have a job due to the pandemic, thus, their family has no stable source of income. Unfortunately, they suffered from fire last June 1 which caused his parents to spend most of their savings for house repairs. Despite all the hardships, Christian is determined to pursue the course he has started to help his family.

THEIR STORY
Jared is a college student and he only uses a mobile phone for online classes. Pre-quarantine, when school works are required, he would dedicate a portion of his allowance to buy prepaid load. Three months into the lockdown, his parents’ funds were fully dedicated in buying essential needs to survive. When his school opted to hold classes and enrollment online, he had no choice but to try his luck in connecting to wifi around the UP Fine Arts Building. Though going outside was restricted during the quarantine, he had to try and hope that no barangay officials will catch him.
